Intervention & Assessment

The Minds in Motion Psychology Clinic offers psychological intervention and assessment services. These services can be partially covered by Medicare and private Health insurance and, where appropriate, paid for by the National Disability Insurance Scheme.​

 

Please note: the Minds in Motion Psychology Clinic is not a registered NDIA provider and agency-managed scheme participants cannot pay for services using their NDIS funding. Information regarding these services and the associated fees can be found below.

Psychological Intervention

Minds in Motion offers psychological intervention services to assist clients and their families in working towards a myriad of different goals. Duration: 50 minutes.

Office Appointments

$260 per appt.*

NDIS
Self-Managed

NDIS Self-Managed participants are able to access psychological intervention at the rate of $260 per hour. This rate also applies to travel to/from out-of-office locations.

NDIS
Plan-Managed

NDIS Plan-Managed participants are able to access psychological intervention at the NDIS-set rate of $244 per hour. This rate also applies to travel to/from out-of-office locations.

Psychological Assessment

Minds in Motion offers psychological assessment services including Learning Assessments, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity (ADHD) Assessments. The Minds in Motion team also conduct ADHD Screening Assessments. The duration of each assessment varies, as below:

Educational Assessment

Educational Assessments investigate the presence of specific learning disorders (such as dyslexia), intellectual developmental disorders, giftedness and the child's learning strengths and weaknesses.

 

The Learning Assessment process involves one parent session, input from school staff, cognitive and academic testing, the writing of a comprehensive report, and a parent feedback session.

ASD Assessment (Dual)

ASD Dual Assessments differ from single ASD assessments, as they are conducted in conjunction with a qualified Speech Pathologist. These assessments involve the same comprehensive parent session, input from school staff, parent questionnaires, cognitive testing, time with the child, the writing of a comprehensive report, and parent feedback session. Dual Assessments are reccomended for complex children and adolescents, and comprehensively focuses on addressing other concerns, learning challenges, and ADHD, where relevant. All ASD Dual Assessments are conducted in conjunction with Your Therapy Spot principal Speech Pathologist Adele Williams.

ADHD Assessment
